This service can take the form of either:
Remote paper screening using a pre-employment questionnaire (PEQ). This approach is a very timely and effective approach to screening when there are no statutory health surveillance type physical screening required. A health questionnaire is reviewed by an Occupational Health Nurse and any issues or concern can be explored further by telephone. Everwell offers both a postal and an on-line option for this type of screening. A physical base-line pre-employment health medical conducted on your site by an Occupational Health professional as part of a regular workplace Occupational Health clinic. This approach is often best suited for operations where employees are exposed to “production type” exposures such as noise, respiratory or skin sensitisers, chemicals, vibrations and similar and where there are sufficient on-going volume of activities.
Both pre-employment health screening approaches will result in a fit-to-work report with base-line results (where appropriate). For those employees with pre-existing conditions the report will detail any issues Management should be aware of and make suggestions on making reasonable adjustments and on how to avoid aggravating the employee’s health. Management can then move forward in the employment process with confidence in respect of the employee’s health.
Other Questionnaire Screening Solutions
The on-line and/or postal screening service can be adapted to screen other questionnaires such as
night-worker or hand-arm vibration (HAVS) annual checks. We would als be happy to discuss any other such options you may have.
